Kate Middleton\'s New Heels Become a Best-Selling Shoe
We first spied this style of nude platform court shoes when Kate Middleton wore them while strolling through the delicate streets of a botanical garden in Singapore.

But pretty soon we’re about to see those understatedly pretty pumps all over every kind of street. Because while the Duchess of Cambridge fauna-ed over all that flora, the world fawned over her feet.

They’re not the LK Bennett label that Kate favors, but a similar design from Marks & Spencer has since become of the store’s best-selling shoe styles of all time—selling an average of one pair every two minutes over the past week.

"Nude court shoes have always been a popular style for us however, their popularity has grown by royal proportions over the last year and even more so since featuring in our September television advert," said M&S’s head purchaser for footwear and accessories. "Although celebrity influence can often be a factor to increased sales the nude court shoe is a classic wardrobe staple that every woman should own."

It doesn’t hurt that the comfy standard is retailing at £19.50, or in U.S. currency just $25.25. The accessibility in terms of aesthetic and price tag is largely why Kate’s style resonates with so many—it’s less everyone emulating her than it is Kate emulating the rest of us, in a way.

Aside from nude, the shoes are available from the M&S Limited Collection in seven other colors and patterns, like leopard print and gold snakeskin, the polar opposite of the demure spectrum.

Maybe these will become so out of control popular that when you Google “nude” and “Kate Middleton” they’ll overtake the search results of those notorious paparazzi photos. Sigh, the Royal Family can only dream.
