Kate Moss is designing a clothing range with her 9-year-old daughter, Lila Grace. Because 9-year-olds are at an age where they should start considering their futures and get involved with things like designing entire clothing collection. I like zippers! – says a 9-year-old fashion designer.

Anyways, the mother and daughter design duo are working with British retailer Debenhams and will reportedly make clothes for “funky tweenage” girls.

This will probably be not unlike Madonna and her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes, who designed “Material Girl” together for Macy’s.

Proving to be a very enterprising young girl, Lila Grace reportedly came up with the idea for the clothing line and Kate has agreed to help out by going through her fashion contacts the nab the two a deal. Basically, Lila Grace pitched her mom the idea and then mom had to go get financial backing. If only I was that awesome at age 9, too bad I was busy memorizing the state capitals and feeding the class hamster.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Lila has always loved trying on Kate’s clothes and make-up, and is already really into fashion. Lila is adamant the range will be very traditional and English rose-esque in feel. Lila doesn’t want to produce chavvy clothes.”

I don’t know what “chavvy” means, but I’m pretty sure I don’t want my clothes to be that either.

The duo will apparently start working on designs over the Holiday break, according to the source.

This isn’t Lila’s first foray into fashion. Kate Moss’s most recent perfume was named Lilabelle and was inspired by her daughter Lila. Lila started out as a muse and is working her way into true clothing design. Heck, she’ll probably become a “Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen” by the time she’s 14.
