Katie Holmes Is Presenting At New York Fashion Week
Now that Katie Holmes is free of Tom Cruise’s scientologist clutches, Katie is free to pursue all sorts of new endeavors, including debuting her fashion line at New York fashion Week.

I know what you’re thinking, Katie Holmes is a fashion designer?

Well, she is. She has a collection called Holmes & Yang that she co-created with her longtime stylist Jeanne Yang.

The collection is all sorts of simple-yet-chic pieces that reflect Katie’s own personal style. So like, t-shirts and Kate Middleton-esque blousy dresses.

The brand was launched in 2009 and is sold at Barneys and Harvey Nichols in London, but this is the first time that Katie will present it at a Fashion Week.

Maybe she’ll become an unexpectedly successful celeb designer like her bestie Victoria Beckham?

Wanna know the most awkward part of this whole fashion endeavor? Katie’s collaborator Yang is also still Tom Cruise’s stylist. Awkward!

A spokesperson for the brand says Holmes’ “personal matters” shouldn’t affect her line.

Also, a source told The Hollywood Reporter that Katie fired Tom Cruise’s adopted daughter Bella, who was working at Holmes & Yang just a few months before filing for divorce.

“There was never any trouble between them,” says the source, “She was fired out of the blue, and once Katie filed for divorce, it all made sense. This was a carefully planned ambush. Katie didn’t want Bella working for her anymore because she was Tom’s kid.”

It all just seems very pre-mediated now.

Anyways, we’ll keep an eye on Holmes & Yang and see how Katie fares in the fashion world.
