2011 has been a big year for fashion. There was Natalie Portman’s pretty purple pregnancy muumuu, Beyonce’s sequined VMA birth announcement outfit, and of course, Jessica Alba’s chic mommy street wear.

Come to think of it, 2011 has been a big year for pregnancies, too. Either way, wherever there’s good fashion, you can bet there’s bad fashion, too. And here are the ten biggest fashion disasters of 2011.

Helena Bonham-Carter, Golden Globes: Well, no surprise that Helena made this list, she lives for standing out from the red carpet crowd. And if that means she’s gotta wear two different colored shoes, then dammit, that’s what she’s gonna do. That’s called commitment.

Currently on vacation in Barcelona, Shakira was holed up inside the Jordi Ripoli salon for 6 hours getting a new cute bob haircut! I mean, it's a cute haircut, but a 6-hour haircut? What were they doing, replacing every hair on her head with new hairs?

Shakira has always had long wavy hair, but chopped it off near her shoulders in a cute A-line bob. She posted a picture of her hair on twitter with the message, "4 hours ago I got my hair cut!" - she's a very to-the-point kind of twitter user.

After she left the salon she headed straight for her Spanish soccer player boyfriend Gerard Pique's apartment.

It's about time. Nicki Minaj has only been referring to herself as a Barbie, for like, ever. The two pop stars will now be immortalized in Mattel plastic. 

Mattel has begun production on one Nicki Minaj and one Katy Perry Barbie doll, meaning they wont churn out various Nicki and Katy dolls, so don't expect "Nurse Katy" or "Horseback riding Nicki" as the company is so wont to do with it's regular Barbies. 

Nicki's doll will include "every signature detail, right down to the tattoo on Nicki's left arm." Do you hear that? That's the sound of Sophie Grace and Rosie screaming hysterically and Ellen Degeneres finding a reason to invite them back on her show. 

The one-of-a-kind Nicki doll will be available beginning Dec.7 where it will be auctioned off online, with proceeds benefitting the Project Angel Food organization. Katy Perry's doll is expected to release soon after. However, both dolls should have the same matching pink hair. Well, Nicki's will be an awesome bright pink weave and Katy Perry's will be a bad fading pink dye job with dark roots.

Last night in Belfast, Ireland were the MTV EMA’s, or European Music Awards, for those of you unfamiliar with one of MTV’s many acronyms, this was the European Music Awards or basically another excuse to throw more awards at Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Anyways, let’s talk about what they were wearing.

Selena Gomez: As Selena was hosting the event, she was sure to wow. The 19-year-old pop star looked like a fancy ice skater in a white embroidered Marchesa top that she wore as a dress. It was very short, but the girl can pull it off. She paired it with some embellished gold Casadei heels.

Lady Gaga: At this point Lady Gaga neither makes it onto best or worst dressed, she’s just dressed.
