Kelly Osbourne, the reality TV child star, “Fashion Police” correspondent, and experimental fashionista, revealed a double handful of black diamonds on her fingertips at the 2012 Emmys valued at $250K. It was painted on courtesy of jeweler Azature which consisted of 267 carats of the dark matter, which she paired with a lavender dress.
Now I did the rocket science math really quick, so let me break it down for you: Kelly appears in the red carpet photos to have ten fingers (though no confirmation yet from her publicist on this) which means this manicure costs an individual $25,000 per nail.
After a bout of backlash for wearing what’s basically a house for a family of four on her hands, Kelly took to her Twitter yesterday night to rationalize the lavish polish:
I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, butit was a once in a lifetime experience. #MyApologizes— Kelly Osbourne (@MissKellyO) September 27, 2012
And please forgive me for not regretting it. it made me feel like a queen!— Kelly Osbourne (@MissKellyO) September 27, 2012
I have a big mouth & i know it! I just don't like knowing that I have unintentionally offended anyone! If its intentional I dont give a S**t— Kelly Osbourne (@MissKellyO) September 27, 2012

Though the truth is she didn’t actually drop a single dime on them and was chosen by Azature to rep the brand.
On the carpet, the 27-year-old told E! that she had “been so scared to touch anything because it’s powdered black diamonds…worth $250,000. I’m the only person they let wear it, it’s in a safe upstairs in the hotel room. I couldn’t believe it. I have not touched a thing all day.”
She also reiterated this talking point on her Twitter:
No I did not pay for it.I was just lucky enough to be the one that got picked to wear it.— Kelly Osbourne (@MissKellyO) September 27, 2012
Whether you think she was blissfully bejeweled or just fashionably frivolous, I think we can all agree when we say we hope that during all that tweeting she didn’t break a nail.
