Kendall Jenner Turns Down Fashion Night Out Event Because of School

While it's been announced that Kylie Jenner will be modeling in Avril Lavigne's collection at NY Fashion Week, Kendall Jenner just turned down an opportunity to do an appearance for a Fashion's Night Out even tonight in New York.

The 15-year-old model, teen, and reality TV star has turned down the FNO gig because she couldn't get out of school. Nobody who ever got anywhere in life let something like school get in the way. I'm sure that line is graffitied on the side of a library somewhere.

Anyways the New York Post reports that the eldest Jenner-Kardashian daughter was offered a large chunk of money to host the Fashion's Night Out event.

"Kendall was offered $20,000 to host an event. She was interested but she had to back out because she couldn’t get out of school," says a source.

That's lame. When I was in highscool I went to Starbucks every day during calculus class and told the front desk lady that I had a migraine that could only be cured by a Java Chip Frappuccino. I'm sure the Kardashian's could have pulled some strings to get her out of that silly little thing called "an education."

This isn't the first time Kendall has turned down modeling opportunities for school. In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian's Kim takes Kendall to NY to do a photoshoot but when the designer asked Kendall if she could stay another day to appear in their runway show, Kendall said she couldn't because then she'd be missing her "cheerleading practice."

Last time I checked, cheerleading never brought anybody any fame, but modeling has always pulled through for tall skinny chicks. Does the name Gisele Bundchen mean anything to Kendall Jenner? Do you think the worlds richest supermodel every left a shoot to go lead a cheer? I don't think so.

So anyways, regardless of my opinions of school versus modeling, Kendall seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Also, sources say that her mom, Kris Jenner insisted that Kendall finish her studies before any paid appearances.

Additionally, the CFDA has recommended that all models be carded to ensure that they are at least 16. While 14 year-old Kylie is taking no notice of this "recommendation" at least Kendall is playing by the rules.

However, Kendall will appear at NY Fashion Week next week to host the runway launch for the Sherri Hill collection next week, a brand that both the Jenner girls have recently modeled prom dresses for. I guess that appearance doesn't conflict with school?
