Kimye has embarked on one of the most serious relationship endeavors two millionaires can embark upon: a shoe line.
Never mind that Kim Kardashian already has a line over at ShoeDazzle and Kanye West has a fashion brand that shows at Paris Fashion Week, but that’s not stopping them from trying to infiltrate the fashion world further.
On Wednesday the couple reportedly had lunch with Salma Hayek and husband Francois-Henri Pinault, who heads up PPR, which owns Gucci, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, YSL, Sergio Rossi, Boucheron, Brioni and Bottega Veneta, which is half of Fashion Week.
They met at the Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, MA, to talk bizness, and a ‘source close to the deal’ says that everyone’s super excited about this but “Nothing is set in stone yet.”
They also said PPR owns Louis Vuitton, which is super untrue as Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) owns Louis Vuitton and the other half of Fashion Week, so who knows how reliable this source actually is. They all could have just been talking politics and philosophy.
And though we many never know the names of the people who will actually design these hypothetical shoes, I just hope they aren’t as ill-fitting and rickety as the shoes Kanye sent his models down the runway in last spring and fall.
