The world’s youngest fashion designer, Kira Plastinina opened 12 stores in the U.S. throughout the year, but unfortunately she’s currently busy shutting them all down.

KP Fashion Co. filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on December 31 in New York. The court papers indicate that the 16-year old fashion designer had $9.7 million in assets and $54.4 million in debt.

Don’t feel too bad for Kira though; the 40-plus stores that she has in the Russian Federation along with the 10 stores in the Ukraine have not been affected.

In case you’re wondering how this girl did all this at such a young age, let’s just say she had a really rich dad to help her.

If the whole "fashion designer" thing doesn't work out for her, she can always fall back on modeling. She's hot enough for the job.
