Many reactions to the leaked Vogue September Issue cover featuring Lady Gaga have dotted the net since yesterday, and most of them agree that she looks sort of like a troll doll. A few have also accused Vogue of excessive retouching.

Watching the behind-the-scenes video of the Grace Coddington styled, Mert and Marcus photographed shoot that went up on Vogue’s YouTube channel yesterday (set to Gaga’s song “Hair”), it’s obvious that Gaga has some serious posing skills.

It also lets you peep a few more of the editorial shots that were not leaked on Gaga’s Twitter—enormous furry hats, fluffy wigs and super heinous rhinestone buckle pilgrim shoes abound and are a pretty big contrast to Gaga’s usual streamlined, futuristic, slightly insane look. Her looks for the spread are more 1900s hat designer on acid than alien chic.

The issue will be Vogue’s biggest ever, its 120th anniversary issue and its second covered by Gaga. As their March 2011 issue was one of their best selling ever, Gaga was a sure bet for their September book. The issue hits newsstands on August 14th.
