Lady Gaga to Launch Brand of Health Water
Lady Gaga is no stranger to the celebrity endorsement game. She’s lent her name to dying brands like Polaroid and market pioneers like Dr. Dre Beats headphones over the years.

This time her latest foray into non-musical waters is—drum roll please—water. Yes, designer celebrity water, and one second, I just spit up the cup of water I was just drinking. Not because I’m being flippant and derisive. But because I can’t believe I’ve been sipping on plain old boring non-celebrity endorsed water since birth. No wonder I wasn’t popular in high school!

Now, I’ll come right out and admit I’m highly disappointed and offended by this announcement from Mother Monster. Not because she’ll unabashedly slap her name onto a completely arbitrary “product” and sell out her fan base’s credit scores for a pay day (you do you, Gaga), but because bottled water is ripped straight out of the Celebrity Endorsement Deals for Products You Don’t Need Playbook Chapter One.

Wake me up when Gaga is endorsing coffee, thirty-minute naps, air, red velvet, and Other Things I Actually Do Need to Survive, then you’ll have my attention again.

The cherry on top of this new water brand is that it’s reportedly a “healthy drinking water” and has everyone raising their eyebrows and re-Googling those heavyset photos of her from last month. She’s since had a super quick weight loss and now many think it was all part of a publicity stunt for this soon-to-launch image conscious water label.
