Lana Del Rey is quickly becoming quite the fashion darling. I don’t know if it’s her duck lips or her internet popularity, but the sultry songstress is making the fashion rounds. She went to the Met Gala, Mulberry named a bag after her, and now she’s modeling for H&M.

“She’s shooting an H&M campaign in New York,” a source told the New York Post.

She signed with Next model management earlier this year to capitalize on her edgy “gangster-Nancy Sinatra” look and pimp her out for different brands. So far, this H&M job is her first modeling gig.

The Mulberry “Del Rey” bag is selling really well, but Lana had no input in the bag design, nor did she appear in any of the campaigns. The designer was simply inspired by the pouty-mouthed singer.

As for the H&M collection, the singer hasn’t confirmed it. Also, she could very well be designing the collection much like when Kate Moss collaborated for H&M several years ago.

H&M rarely gets celebrities to front their campaigns. Kylie Minoque modeled an underwear campaign for the Swedish retailer in 1998. Madonna fronted the brand when she debuted her M by Madonna collection several years ago. David Beckham appeared in this years underwear ads for H&M, but other than that, H&M rarely pegs famous faces unless they are co-creating the designs.

Only time will tell if this is a rumor or actually happening. As usual, H&M “doesn’t comment on rumors” which is the same line they give any outlet whenever pressed about their brand.

I hope Lana’s collection is reflective of her own personal style. Meaning, lots of sheer blouses and high-waisted skirts.
