Sneak Peek at Versace for H&M
Everyone once in a while a major fashion line will collaborate with stores us regular folks can actually afford. When this happens it’s like the clouds part in the sky and the fashion gods smile down on us commoners. That time has come again.

We reported back in June that Versace is coming to H&M and we now finally have a sneak peak at the collection. New photos of the collection were published in Vogue Russia, and the clothes are as Versace as it gets. Seriously, you would never be able to tell that they were made specifically for H&M.

There are bright colors, crazy prints and some amazing leather jackets. And if you’re not into their bright, bold designs, there will also be some amazing jewelry. Big, gold gaudy jewelry. Very Versace.

The collection is set to hit H&M store this November. H&M has collaborated with some amazing lines in the last few years.

I DIEEEE for the new Lanvin for H&M collection. Just saw a very interesting commercial of the collection and I was sold immediately after seeing the faux fur jacket in the beginning of the video.

The collection actually looks like something we would see on the Lanvin runway, which is even more exciting because no one wants to buy cheap looking clothes only because of the label.

So what can we expect? A lot of ruffles, asymmetric necklines and super-flattering, feminine silhouettes!
Lanvin Coming to H&M
Another magnificent collaboration from H&M! We're happy to announce that Lanvin is coming to H&M stores this fall.

Lanvin is one of the most influential brands of the 21st century. Designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and mens wear designer Lucas Ossendrijver the collection will go on sale in around 200 H&M stores.

It will be launched November 20th in North America and on November 23rd in the rest of the world. The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.

“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world," says Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin.

“We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is going to be full of wonderful surprises,” says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

We're counting down til November 23rd...mark your calendars fashionistas!
Gaudy Accessories Big For Fall

Lanvin is growing to be one of the biggest trend setting lines in Fashion. At Paris fashion week, designer Alber Elbaz unveiled a collection, which featured glamorous gowns, cocktail dresses and casual wear. No matter what the models wore on the catwalk, they all completed the outfits with exaggerated accessories such as large crystal cuffs and matching crystal necklaces that drop low.

Seems like the very pregnant Jessica Alba couldn't resist this show as she sat front row with actressLucy Liu. Moral of the story, go big with the accessories, after all they help accentuate the outfit.

My first memory of patent leather is from the opening scene of Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts was using a Sharpie to cover up scuff-marks on her knee-high patent leather boots – a look that was associated with street-walkers and go go dancers. But now, thanks to designers like Pauric Sweeney, Yves Saint Laurent and Giuseppe Zanotti, I can hardly keep my credit cards from bouncing.

I started with a pair of patent leather strappy stilettos from Miu Miu, a brave purchase that I thought would stop there, but when YSL showed their Fall 2007 collection of uptown patent leather totes I nearly cashed in my retirement fund entirely. Now knee-deep in my black-shiny leather obsession I’m just crossing my fingers that Brian Atwood stops teasing me with his fabulous line of accessories. I have a mantra that I repeat over and over, my financial advisor has suggested that I print it out and place it in my wallet, but it goes like this, “ Food, shelter, then clothes,” and I have to say, what good is food and shelter if you can’t look fabulous while eating and sleeping?

As for my next big splurge? Now that I am pleased with my collection of black patent leather, it is time to add a pop of color. The best for the season? Purple. MCM is coming back out with a great line of wallets, but I am saving change from the couch for what I really want – the Lanvin Kansas Patent Tote in purple. It is around 16" wide so you can toss just about everything you own into it. Its stunning jewel-toned fabric is perfectly complemented with brown leather trim; the only other thing it needs is my shoulder to carry it.
