Lanvin's Fall Campaign Features Non-Models
Designers like Marc Jacobs have used "real people" in their advertising campaigns and now more high end designers have followed suit.
Lanvin is using no models whatsoever in their Autumn Winter 2012 campaigns. They’ve even made a viral video in which each of the non-models tell quirky stories.
Alber Elbaz of Lanvin has chosen to feature people from all walks of life and range in age, race and gender in the video.
And each tell funny stories--from an 80 year old woman who was a former ballet dancer to a collector of salt and pepper shakers …
All while wearing amazing pieces from Lanvin’s fall collection.
The fashion industry is completely evolving, as skinny models are just not hot anymore. It was just yesterday we reported that fashion magazines are even photoshopping models to look healthier because “skinny doesn’t sell anymore.”
Let’s face it people, skinny is NOT hot anymore!
