Spring Trend: The Two-Piece Dress
The new trend that’s all the rage this spring is the two-piece dress, or the peek-a-boo dress, or as my sister calls it, “you mean, like everything in the 80’s?”

Call it what you will, but bustier style tops that stop above the midsection, paired with a skirt, revealing a sexy peek-a-boo slit is the must have item this spring.

Selena Gomez wore a Dolce & Gabbana cropped bustier top with a matching knee length skirt to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards last month.

Blake Lively- Blake is always taking fashion risks and that’s why we love her. Anyone else wearing this embroidered dress from Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2009/10 Haute Couture Collection would look fat and stumpy, but Blake looked fabulous. Her new hair color blended well with the gown.

Diet Tips and Trends From Maria Menounos

Maria Menounos has added author to her already impressive resume`. And she’s not just any author. Her book, "The EveryGirl's Guide to Life" is already a New York Times best seller.

So what is the book about?

Maria gives the 411 on what to expect from "The EveryGirl's Guide to Life".

“It's an A-Z guide for every girl on how to manage to do it all in ways that are better, faster and cheaper, particularly when time and money are in short supply,” Maria tells Modamob in an exclusive one-on-one interview.

The TV presenter/author is also a fashionista. She’s always well dressed on and off the red carpet so she would be the perfect person to ask for spring/summer trends.

“70's seem to be hot right now. Lace is very big, nude patent leather shoes, and wide leg jeans are some of my fave spring must haves,” she tells us.

Stripes Move to Handbags
Stripes always make a comeback during the summer season. And as much as I love them, I hate the fact that it makes me look fat. And if it makes me look fat, chances are it does the same to you.

It’s something about those lines that makes us look wider than we actually are in real life.

So this season I’ve decided to save the stripes for my bags. The spring 2011 runway was filled with striped bags.

They’re going to be huge this season and whether the lines are going horizontal or vertical, it’s not going affect the way we look or feel. Sold.

Jill Sander, Kate Spade, Prada and Bloomindales have some great bags that will sure spice up your simple outfit.
Spring Trend Alert: All About Being Bold!
Pack up all the black and grey clothes you own because this spring it’s all about the bold colors.

You’re probably thinking, “It’s always about colors during the spring time you idiot,” but this spring it’s about mixing and matching really bold colors.

The spring/summer 2011 runways were all about bold colored blocks such as pinks, greens oranges all paired together.

So how do you achieve this look? Simple. Just buy bright colored tops, skirts or pants and pair them together. If you’re not a fashion risk taker you can pair it with black pants or skirt.

But I say take a risk this spring and mix and match two colors you would never think would go together.
