Through her connection with Mark beauty products, LC has found a way to give money to put a stop to relationship abuse. She will serve as honorary co-chair of a panel that will select up to five organizations that will receive the funds.
LC blogs on her Myspace, "I have partnered with mark in its first initiative, aimed at ending the cycle of dating abuse and violence. Women ages 16-24 experience the highest rates of partner violence, and mark and I want to change that statistic." And that demographic happens to be exactly the type of people who watch the Hills.
Avon's youth brand Mark is fighting back with the Have A Heart pendant, which has sparkles on one side, and an inscribed heart on the other. It's available at meetmark.com. Net profits from the $22 pendant will go toward the campaign to fight relationship violence.
LC also says, "Abuse is a devastating cycle. By purchasing this necklace for yourself and your friends, you'll support the cause and raise awareness."
