Leighton Meester

This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit is celebrating the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition and the whole event is co-chaired by Carey Mulligan, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and designer Miuccia Prada
Here are the Best Dressed Stars from the 2012 Met Gala:
Camilla Belle: The young actress looked lovely in a Ralph Lauren Collection ivory tulle beaded dress with champagne python sandals. She looks like she was painted in gold flakes.
Scarlet Johansson: I wish Johansson had put more effort into her hair, but her Dolce & Gabbana dress is ah-mah-zing. This one-of-a-kind gown was made of a bustier embroidered with gold thread and pearls and a nude colored long tulle skirt.

If you are a Gossip Girl fan, you know Blair has been having doubts about marrying Prince Louis because she's obviously still in love with Chuck Bass. I mean, who doesn't love Chuck Bass. But than again, who would pass on the opportunity to become the royal Princess of Monaco? It would be too easy if she did. We know Chuck is going to get involved and something dramatic is going to happen.
Blair was photographed on the set of Gossip Girl wearing a white bridal gown that belonged to her future mother-in-law, Princess Sophie Grimaldi (Joanne Whalley). That explains the simple, and so not glamourous dress we'd usually expect from Blair.

"I can feel sexy in jeans and a T-shirt. Not trying to be sexy is really sexy. I actually think I'm prettier without make-up. It's just about accepting what you love about yourself," says Leighton.
Sure, Leighton does look sexy in a jeans and a T-shirt, but unfortunately for the rest of, not so much. I love it when pretty celebrities talk about how pretty they are. Oh really, you look good with AND without makeup. Let's talk more about your effortless beauty.
So when Leighton ISN'T trying to be sexy, she IS trying to be sexy. She talks about her favorite fashion tips to LOOK magazine.

Basically, stores stay open later than usual and offer in-store events and giveaways to entice shoppers to go shopping at 10pm instead of 6pm while sipping on vitamin waters and munching on mini cupcakes.
Anyways, since 2009 the event has turned into a media blitz and Hollywood's finest turned out to support Fashion's Night Out. Here's where the celebs were shopping and hanging out last night.
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian: Kim and Kourt were partying at the NY branch of their Kardashian owned boutique DASH. Also in attendance was DJ Pauly D, who agreed to DJ the event for free as a wedding gift to Kim and Kris Humphries.

Just because they weren’t wearing long gowns, didn’t mean their dresses were not fancy. Ladies like Leighton Meester, Amber Lancaster, and Kristen Stewart were all wearing blinged out short dresses.
You can’t go wrong with showing leg and shining while doing it!

Leighton Meester is the new face of Vera Wang fragrance, Lovestruck. The Gossip Girl star signed a 2 year $3 million contract with the high-end designer. The commercial for the fragrance was just released. The commercial features Leighton as a modern day Juliet.

Hollywood has the Oscars, New York has the Met Gala. Hollywood’s biggest stars were dressed to the nines today hoping to impress the only woman whose opinion matters—Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour.
The theme of the Costume Institute exhibition this year: “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.” But judging from most of the outfits, it was more like “Who Can Look the Worst.”
Sadly there were more bad dressed stars than good, so let’s take a look at the nights biggest fashion disasters:
The Worst Dressed:
Kristen Stewart: KStew awkwardly walked the red carpet at the 2011 MET gala in a Proenza Schouler gown. Sadly I’m not sure who to blame for this one, Kristin or the designer? It looks like Proenza ran out of ideas, saw the curtain hanging at his grandmother’s house and decided to make a dress out of it. Where’s her figure? She has great legs, it would have been nice to see a hint of them. Fashion fail.

Vera Wang and Leighton Meester, who is the face of Vera Wang Fragrance got together today to light up the Empire State Building red and white in honor of the 5th annual DKMS Gala in New York City.
Leighton looked really good, which was a good change from the bad fashion choices she’s been making in recent months.
As much as I love Leighton and her style, she’s let her fashion sense slip lately. I’m glad she’s slowly getting her mojo back.
Leighton aka Blair Waldorf was sporting a beige top from the Vera Wang Fall 2011 collection matched with a floral printed skirt from the Spring 2011 collection. Two thumbs up!
I love her new lighter do that she showed off at the lighting ceremony. Two of my fave Gossip Girls changed things up this week. Blake went red and Blake went lighter. Both ladies look great!

Her character ‘Blair Waldorf’ is a fierce fashionista that’s so fun to watch, but Leighton says that she’s actually nothing like Blair.
“Blair is.... I don't know what she is... I have to enter a completely foreign body to sympathize with Blair and her decisions. You know, Blair grew up very savvy, well educated, and lonely. I think her mother is not the most supportive person and…Blair is very competitive and conniving, and it obviously comes, usually, from a very human place, but she makes decisions that I would never make,” Leighton said when asked about her character.
Blair is definitely an interesting character. I don’t actually think that there are people out there like her.
Back to the cover, it’s not impressive. They could have put her into something more exciting so people actually remember the cover. Where’s Rachel Zoe when you need her!
