Leighton Meester: Not Trying to Be Sexy is Really Sexy

Leighton Meester, who stars on one of the prettiest shows on television "Gossip Girl," says that she feels sexiest when she doesn't try to be.

"I can feel sexy in jeans and a T-shirt. Not trying to be sexy is really sexy. I actually think I'm prettier without make-up. It's just about accepting what you love about yourself," says Leighton.

Sure, Leighton does look sexy in a jeans and a T-shirt, but unfortunately for the rest of, not so much. I love it when pretty celebrities talk about how pretty they are. Oh really, you look good with AND without makeup. Let's talk more about your effortless beauty.

So when Leighton ISN'T trying to be sexy, she IS trying to be sexy. She talks about her favorite fashion tips to LOOK magazine.

"My biggest fashion tip is take something really basic and make it your own. You could be wearing jeans and a T-shirt but if you add heels that are your style, they completely change your outfit. It's the same with a little black dress - if you add an awesome necklace or a headscarf or a bag, that makes it special," says the actress.

So if you aren't fortunate enough to be sexy without makeup on like Leighton. You can can add a pair of heels or a scarf and like magic, you'll look better.

She says heels are her go-to for instant glam. "My essential fashion item is a great pair of heels. They just give you that extra oomph."

If you watch Gossip Girl, you'll know that Leighton's character Blair Waldorf and Ed Westick's character Chuck Bass are always terribly in love with each other. However, Ed Westwick says he isn't into girls like Leighton in real life.

"We've got a great relationship but we're more like brother and sister. She is a wonderful girl and a remarkable person and we hang out when we're both not working," Ed says of his relationship with Leighton.

So what's not to like? she just self-described as "always sexy."

Ed says he only likes British girls. "But I have to say that British girls are the best in the world. There isn't any doubt about it," he reveals. If Brit actor Robert Pattinson found love with that stick figure Kristen Stewart, I'm sure there's something appealing about us American girls.

He said: "I like genuine girls I can laugh and have fun with. I like a girl with a sense of style, and I'd have to go out with someone who can whip me into line when I need it."

Leighton Meester totally has a sense of style, she just described it. Didn't you hear that part about the scarves? And the heels?
