Celebs Love the Linea Pelle Collection for Bendels
August 19, 2011 by: MADISON VANDERBERG

Recently, Linea Pelle bags and accessories have been seen on celeb ladies like Jamie King, Amy Smart, Selma Blair, Hayden Panettiere, and Olivia Munn.
The brand was founded in 1986 in New York City and returns to the city for an exclusive collection for Henri Bendel department stores. The purses in the Linea Pelle Collection start at $100 for a wallet and go up to $500 for a tote or speedy bag. But if you can't afford those prices you can just peek at the Bendel's window display on 5th Ave.
Living in California, window displays seem like such a cool and exotic concept. Since nobody walks anywhere in California, the idea of being lured into a shop because of the items on display in the window is strange to me. But I guess it works for the Stars of The Real Housewives of New York City.
This week, Linea Pelle launched the new collection and Real Housewives star Kelly Bensimon joined the brands creative director Andrew Cotton to shop the brands Fall Collection. She left Bendels after dropping over a grand on a few new purchases. Just a day in the life for a Real Housewife I guess?
Bensimon picked up the Allegra Top Zip Clutch in Cheetah, an Alex Zipp Speedy, and a Willow Tote in plum. Just so you know, in case you're a housewife in training.
But for us normals, who love the collection but may not be able to afford it, Linea Pelle also does a more budget conscious line for Target called LPLP. A lot of the Linea Pelle collection for Target is sold out online. If you want a less expensive version of the Bendel's handbags you can shop the Target collection for $10-$50.
But if you're gonna splurge, I'd go for the top tier. Linea Pelle Collection boasts "the finest quality washed, Italian leather in cosmopolitan silhouettes and a season color palette."
