Madonna’s new MDNA tour kicks off today and not-surprisingly her tour wardrobe has looks that appear as if they are straight from the runway.

Madonna’s tour costumes include couture pieces from Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander Wang, and Jeremy Scott.

Aside from the A-list roster of designers, Madonna reportedly has 700 shoe changes. Does she change her shoes during songs? 700? That’s excessive. Some of those shoes include custom-made heels by Prada and Miu Miu.

Her most iconic look in the tour is a blonde-ambition inspired skeleton corset worn over a suit with cone bra. No surprise here, it’s inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier.

“We played with the ideas of a suit and a corset. But the corset is now like a cage,” Gaultier told WWD.

One of the looks is just a pair of black lingerie from her own Truth or Dare collection.

Another look is a 1940’s baton-twirling inspired look designed by her resident costume designer Arianne Phillips, who says of the show, “It’s a real journey from the first act to the fourth, and the way she constructs her shows is like a theater piece.”

There is a slinky black cat suit, a ‘la Angelina Jolie in “Tomb Raider.”

There is also a Joan of Arc inspired gown, complete with full chain mail and a sword, except this mesh dress is covered in Swarovski crystals.

Madonna isn’t the only one dressed in the best. Dolce & Gabbana made suits for the band and background vocalists and Jeremy Scott created costumes for the back-up dancers. Check out all the looks here.
