Madonna Accused of Stealing Perfume Logo
Truth or Dare? Truth? Did Madonna rip off the logo of an Australian artist to use in her 'Truth Or Dare' perfume logo? Looks like it!

Sydney-based artist RJ Williams has sent a “legal letter” to Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary because the logo on Madonna’s Truth or Dare perfume bottle is very similar to the symbol he’s been putting on clothing for eight years.

The symbol is of a “M” with a cross through it and yes, they are nearly identical. Did Madonna think nobody would notice if she ripped off an Australian artist?

Madonna: We’re using this symbol, okay.

Guy Oseary: But Madonna, isn't this the same exact symbol some guy in Australia used for the past 8 years?!

Madonna: Is the Kangaroo copyright police gonna bust us? Nobody actually lives in Australia, it’s like so far away, we’ll be fine!

According to the Telegraph, RJ Williams demanded that Madonna “stop infringing his copyright, provide him with all profits made so far and enter into a license with him for future use of the symbol.”

What’s more, the guy trademarked the symbol last year.

“It’s about my integrity as an artist,” Williams told the Telegraph, “I do not think it should be able to be used by a giant cosmetics company.”
