Madonna is set to launch her own signature fragrance and I’m assuming it won’t smell like hydrangeas. The queen of Pop has teamed up with cosmetics conglomerate Coty to create her own perfume, reports WWD.

It’s about time she jumped on this bandwagon. How do you think Britney Spears makes a mil a month? It’s certainly not all from lip syncing. Brit’s nine perfumes account for a huge chunk of her monthly salary.

Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez and David Beckham have previously partnered with Coty to release their own fragrances, so you know it’s going to be a hit. Wait, Lady Gaga has her own perfume? Does it smell like raw meat?

Madonna and daughter Lourdes recently launched their own Material Girl fashion and cosmetics range, which has been marketed for teenagers, but this will just be Madonna’s venture. No material girl or Lourdes ties.

Britney Spears probably has the most successful range of perfumes. She launched Curious in September 2004 followed by Fantasy in 2005, Curious in Control in 2006 followed by Midnight Fantasy that same year, Curious Heart in 2008, Hidden Fantasy and Circus Fantasy in 2009 and Radiance in 2010. What’s with all the Fantasy and Curious names? It’s okay to be original every once in a while, Brit.

And following in Britney’s footsteps is Kim Kardashian who has three different perfumes out to date. Those puppies helped contribute to the families $65 million dollar a year fortune.

“It has always been a dream of mine to start my own perfume business, since I love to mix fragrances together and come up with new and different scents!” Kim says. “It all started when my mom introduced me to famous perfumer Caroline Sabas from Gras, France. She and I have been working together to create a scent that is uniquely me that I can share with everyone!”

Kim’s sister Khloe and Lamar released a unisex perfume last year that didn’t do as well as Kim’s. I think its on sale now. Like at Ross. David and Victoria Beckham were more successful with their unisex fragrance, but than again who doesn’t want to buy what they’re selling?

When Justin Bieber released his ‘Someday’ perfume at Macy’s and girls around the globe literally lost their cool. Like crying madness. Muriel Gonzalez, store executive vice president and general manager, said sales were on track to be the "biggest we've ever had."
