The pop singer has been named the brand new face of Proactiv Solution, the world’s best-selling pimple-fighting beauty regimen.
The company has always employed big-name celebrities to be their sponsors, including Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, and even P. Diddy!
WWD reports that Katy, The Office star Jenna Fischer, and Avril Lavigne have all been added to Proactiv’s lineup of famous pitchpeople.
Company executive Ben Van de Bunt assures that the new gig will be worth the ladies’ whiles. He says, “We are paying people consistently with what we have done in the past, which is millions of dollars.”
Must be nice to be a celebrity! Perry, Lavigne, and Fischer’s new gig will last at least a year, and expect to see the ads airing worldwide, as the line is carried in more than 58 countries. Visit wwd.com to learn more.

She launched the line in 2005 and seemed to always wear her clothes around town. Although initially we thought this announcement might have something to do with her recent engagement, she eluded to WWD that it was just not working out. On whether she would get back into fashion Moore said: " It would have to be the right situation… a great partnership that could represent a true reflection of me and my ideas and you know that wasn’t happening. So next go round, that needs to be top of the list.” Ahhhhh we can read between the lines Mandy! Now that her little fashion adventure is over, the once tween queen is getting back to her music. Her new CD Amanda Leigh, drops on May 26. It is official to say that we will be missing Mandy's clothes.... like candy.

The campaign founded by Katie Couric has opened its shopping doors, just in time for the holidays. Buying any item from the store is really a gift that keeps on giving. Hilary was seen wearing a star necklace which was designed by Jennifer Meyer. Jennifer knows a think or two about stars.
The jewelry designer is married to Spider Man himself...Toby Maguire. The necklace is great and is a symbol to Stand Up To Cancer's Constellation. The website offers an online tribute space where you can launch a star for anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis. It is truly an inspiring piece for jewelry. The stars retail for $250-$3,250. You can check out the necklace and all other merchandise on the stores web site standup2cancer.org
The shop also has great T-shirts with the "Stand Up To Cancer" logo. Hilary's great shirt retails for $40.00. The shirt looks great and sends a clear message. Hollywood superstore Kitson is also donating 100% of their Standup to Cancer profits to the cause. That's 100%!!! Who knew you could look good, and feel good!
The line is super stylish, and supports an unbelievable cause. Donating to charity is a look that never goes out of style. And hey...if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything. Happy Hunting!

The event sponsored by BlackBerry & T-Mobile USA, featured twelve of LA's most promising designers. Maxine Dillon, Nanushka, Peonie, Quail, Laeken, Wayf, KZO, Wayne Hadly, Azature, Jerome C. Rousseau, Laura Kranitz, and Posso all showcased their Spring 09' Collections.
Each year Gen Art's "Fresh Faces in Fashion" event has an unparalleled track record for tomorrow's top designers. And while the nights focus was on the Spring of 2009, We asked Mandy about her favorite fall fashion trends of today.
"One of my girlfriends started this jean line called Current Elliot & they have the sorta baggy comfy boyfriend jean thing, I don't know if it's necessarily the most flattering thing on me, but I like it cause it's comfortable."
She stayed pretty closed lipped about her sudden trip to support DJ AM after the plane crash, But she did tell us that right now her music is in the forefront. "I'm working on a record, I've been writing for the last couple of months and I am going to record it in my house." said a smiling Mandy Moore.
The night definitely set the tone for LA Fashion week as Celebrities, Fashionistas, and the General Public all took part in this booming event. For an in depth look at Gen Art and this years designers log on to www.genart.org. And that’s the scoop from Hollyscoop!
