Alice Dellal New Face of Marc Jacobs
The edgy and punk rock London socialite, Alice Dellal, has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs. Known for her half-shaved head and rocker attire, the musician slash model slash “her dad is rich”-heiress will front the brands spring/summer 2012 collection alongside model Erik Andersson.

Despite her punk inspired usual look, in the ads she is wearing a collection of bright girly dresses and delicate heels with ankle straps. Ankle strap heels? For a rock chick? A chunky wedge, sure, but ankle straps? Avril Lavigne would NEVER!
Marc Jacobs Not Going to Dior: It's Best for Everyone
After Dior fired John Galliano as head designer, they've been trying to fill the void for nearly a year. Dior has been eyeing Marc Jacobs as Galliano's successor, but Jacobs finally says that collaboration is not going to happen.

As the creative director of Louis Vuitton, he says he isn't ready to leave just yet.

As for the would-be gig at Dior, Jacobs says, "It's a great honor to be considered

Victoria Beckham Cries at the British Fashion Records After Winning
Victoria Beckham was honored at last nights 2011 British Fashion Awards. She was so overwhelmed when she won the award for Designer Brand of the Year that she broke down in tears.

Good, I was started to have suspicions that she was not in fact human and actually just David Beckham’s sex doll.

Marc Jacobs presented her with the coveted honor during the award show at the London Savoy Hotel. As she accepted her award, wearing a floor-length backless gown and her hair pulled into a bun, she started tearing up as she read off her acceptance speech.

“I’m so sorry for crying,” said the singer turned designer, “I’m being so rubbish. I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support. I’d like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity – Simon Fuller, my parents, my kids and my husband. Without David I wouldn’t have had the courage to do what I am doing.”

Louis Vuitton Robbed!
So much drama happening in the fashion world lately. Louis Vuitton is the latest fashion house to be subject to burglary, giving new meaning to the phrase, A Crime of Fashion.

More than $400,000 worth of Louis Vuitton merchandise was stolen from the LV store at the Charles de Gaulle airport last week. Quick, call the Fashion Police!

On Friday, a gang of masked thieves overwhelmed a security guard and four employees and broke into the airport location store and walked away with two cars full of LV goods. Oh also, they held the LV employees hostage, while they took their sweet time loading up 10 pallets full of the expensive goods. No details are known but the Parisian police are looking into the theft.
Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer Collection Stolen
Marc Jacobs entire 46 look spring/summer 2012 collection was burgled from a train in Paris. The brand says that all pieces from the collection were stolen when the train stopped in Paris during a transfer.

Somewhere out there in France is a homeless person wearing a $900 floral print romper.

The samples were making their way to London for a European press day, but the brand sent out an email cancelling the press day that was supposed to occur yesterday.

“Dear all,” the email read, “The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.”
Dakota Fanning's Marc Jacobs Perfume Ad Banned For Being Too Racy
Dakota Fanning’s “Lolita” perfume ad has been banned by the UK group Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) on the basis that the ad seems to “sexualize a child.”

For everyone who thinks this ad should be banned, they’ve obviously never seen ‘Toddlers in Tiaras.’ I’m pretty sure the tagline for that show is “let’s sexualize a child.”

The ASA claims, “We noted that the model was holding up the perfume bottle which rested in her lap between her legs and we considered that its position was sexually provocative.”

Ok so she’s holding a giant flower perfume bottle in between her legs.
Lindsay Lohan Kicked Out of Marc Jacobs After Party

Lindsay Lohan caused a scene all over NY Fashion Week.

On Thursday Night, Lindsay attempted to go to the Marc Jacobs after party at the newly opened Gallery at The Dream Hotel in Downtown NYC, but the door staff refused to let Lindsay into the club.

After Lindsay’s friends continued to plead with the doormen, the event organizers kept repeating "it's not going to happen."

The event didn't want to let Lohan into the party because she threw a drink at a waitress the night before at the Standard hotel (more about that later).

Since the Marc Jacobs event promoters wouldn't let LiLo into the hotel, LiLo who is a very famous celebrity with friends in high places, called up her pal Vikram Chatwal, who owns the Dream Hotel and he walked her into the event himself.
Marc Jacobs to Be Creative Director of John Galliano?
John Galliano really screwed up his life.

Rumor on the fashion block is that LVMH head honcho Bernard Arnault is in contract negotiations with Marc Jacobs to take over Christian Dior.

Marc Jacobs has a good reputation and they feel like he will do good for the label…you know ever since Galliano screwed up the label.

"I could have asked many other talented designers to do Dior, but it would not have been the same," Arnault told Tatler Asia."Take Marc Jacobs, he has been a fantastic success at Vuitton, and he has a proximity to the Vuitton spirit, but I don't think it would have been a success with Jacobs at Dior and the other way around, if I had asked John [Galliano] to do Vuitton, it would not have worked. An essential ingredient in the success of the brand today is the real proximity of Galliano to the talent of Christian Dior."
Kate Moss' Wedding is Vogue's September Issue
Kate Moss launched her Vogue career back in 1995 and returns as the cover girl for the iconic September Issue.

Moss has graced the cover of vogue several times in her career, but never as a bride.

Some of the covershoot was photographed at the actual wedding by Mario Testino, and Moss is wearing her actual Galiano designed wedding dress.

Only someone like Kate Moss would have a wedding album that’s also an issue of Vogue.
