The edgy and punk rock London socialite, Alice Dellal, has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs. Known for her half-shaved head and rocker attire, the musician slash model slash “her dad is rich”-heiress will front the brands spring/summer 2012 collection alongside model Erik Andersson.

Despite her punk inspired usual look, in the ads she is wearing a collection of bright girly dresses and delicate heels with ankle straps. Ankle strap heels? For a rock chick? A chunky wedge, sure, but ankle straps? Avril Lavigne would NEVER!

Alice Dellal is the newest model in a move away from “pretty girls” fronting luxury fashion campaigns. She has also been handpicked to become the new face of Chanel’s new handbag collection called “Boy Chanel.”

The last “face” of Chanel was America’s sweetheart, Blake Lively… a far cry from “half-my-head-is-shaved” Alice Dellal.

According to a spokesperson for Chanel, “Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection, which strives [to be] far from conformist notions of femininity.”

Karl Lagerfled apparently met Dellal several months ago and apparently developed a sort of girl-crush on her.

“Karl had a crush on this unique, charismatic young lady, who is both a model and a musician, during a photo shoot several months ago” says a Chanel mouth piece, “This previously unforeseen alliance finally became self-evident.”

Dellal has also been previously named as famed photographer Mario Testino’s muse.
