Matthew McConaughey Shaves His Head

Well, there’s an upside to this. At least his hair won’t smell like weed anymore.

Matthew McConaughey, former Sexiest Man Alive, has changed up his hairdo once again. For the past couple of years, Matthew’s been known for his signature, dirty blonde locks. Well, that, and not wearing a shirt. But definitely the hair, too.

On Tuesday, McConaughey stepped out in Beverly Hills wearing a T-shirt and baseball cap, which halfway covered up his freshly shaved scalp. But just Saturday, McConaughey was on the set of his latest film, Thunder Run, sporting a full head of hair. Maybe the baldness is for a scene in the movie, or maybe he just got tired of accidentally dipping his hair in bong water. We could spend all day guessing.

This isn’t his first dramatic hair transformation. Back in 2008, Matthew debuted a short buzz cut. It’s been speculated that the actor has had hair transplants, too. In 1999, he was photographed with a dramatically receding hairline in his infamous mug shot. But in the coming years, Matthew’s hairline has magically moved forward, making him look like Kim Kardashian circa 2008.

Matthew is currently filming the 3D war movie, Thunder Run, alongside Gerard Butler and Sam Worthington. The movie is also all computer generated. Producer Brian Presley said of the flick:

“The scope of the movie is going to feel huge and the goal is to appeal to the Call of Duty world. It’s not going to have a video game world feel but to have a stylized look to it. We’re locked and loaded.”
