Michael Kors is a Married Man

While other gay couples may have traveled to one of the states that have legalized gay marriage over the years just so they could be legally hitched, Kors and LePere naturally wanted to wait to be married in their home state of NY. Which makes sense, who wants to go to Iowa to get married? Finally, NY got it's act together and legalized same-sex marriages at the end of July.
Earlier this month, Kors announced their upcoming nuptials and said, "Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together," he told People.
Kors and LePere got hitched on Tuesday in Southampton NY, at a private ceremony on Dune Beach officiated by Southampton Mayor Mark Epley.
Kors tells Women's Wear Daily, "To marry someone as wonderful and special to me as Lance, barefoot on a glorious beach is more than I could have dreamed of."
LePere is somewhat of a kept man now, and I'm sure Kors has no problem with that. LePere is young and scruffy and hot and Kors is 52. Get it Kors!
When Kors announced the upcoming marriage he said they wedding would be a small event. They were basically announcing they were eloping. "We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately." he released in a statement earlier this month.
And private it was, Dune Beach is a secluded unprotected Southampton Village beach in the affluent Hamptons area of New York.
After NY governor Andrew Cuomo signed the same-sex marriage bill into law, Kors and LePere were spotted at City Hall in Manhattan to get their marriage license.
A source told Life & Style, "They were both very casually dressed. He [Kors] was really nice and let the girls at the office take his picture."
Last summer in an interview with New York Magazine, Kors gushed over his nearly 21 year relationship with LePere, "Over the years and the day-to-day process of dreaming together, things just naturally fell into place."
Having worked together in the past, they have many of the same fashion sensibilities, "We share a certain level of taste. An American point of view, and I think we like to play with Americana."
