Designer and "Project Runway" judge, Michael Kors is to marry his partner of over 20 years, Lance LaPere.

Kors met LaPere in 1990 when Lapere was an intern for Kors's company. Their relationship proves that mixing work and pleasure does last.

The two were seen picking up their marriage license at the City Clerk's office in Manhattan on Wednesday. Kors said there probably wont be a huge bash since they've been together for so long, but if they did have a big wedding party it would have been a who's-who of the fashion world.

The couple are elated that now that same-sex marriage has been legalized in New York, the couple can finally tie the knot.

"Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together," says Kors, "We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately."

A source at city hall tells Life & Style that when Kors and LaPere headed out to get their marriage license, "They were both very casually dressed. He (Kors) was really nice and let the girls at the office take his picture."
