I don’t know about you, but the thought of digging up Alfred Hitchcock’s grave puts me in the mood to buy a pair of skinny trousers.

Fashion brand Boy by Band of Outsiders has recruited Oscar nominated actress Michelle Williams as the face of its 2012 Spring look book.

Williams poses for the brand’s typical vintage-inspired photographs. In those photographs, she pretends to dig up film legend Alfred Hitchcock's grave, has a picnic at the Hollywood Forever cemetery, and walks by the cemetery’s back gate wearing a black bowler hat.

Another shot features Michelle in the front seat of an ominous looking hearse.

In doing all of those things, you should always be fashionable. Which is why Michelle is donning the collection’s toile du Jouy prints, including a sweeping skirt and trench coat. She also wears a crisp collared black and white dress.

The photographs are designed to have a Seventies look as vintage, sun-washed Polaroids.

The collection was paraded at New York Fashion Week this fall, and is inspired by Peter Weir’s film, Picnic at Hanging Rock. The collection consists of thirteen pieces total.

Williams also shot a look book for Boy by Band of Outsiders back in 2008. Designer Scott Sternberg said of Michelle’s shoot: "There [wasn't] hair and makeup . . . no lights or anything."

Zooey Deschanel and Kirsten Dunst have also modeled for the brand. Sternberg said of the pieces:

"I don’t make runway clothes. These are clothes you wear on the street, so I’m just super-uncomfortable with it. It puts it in totally the wrong context — I want to do something closer to where the clothes are, and let people actually touch and feel them as opposed to seeing them on a 14-year-old anorexic model."
