Spring Trend: The Two-Piece Dress
The new trend that’s all the rage this spring is the two-piece dress, or the peek-a-boo dress, or as my sister calls it, “you mean, like everything in the 80’s?”

Call it what you will, but bustier style tops that stop above the midsection, paired with a skirt, revealing a sexy peek-a-boo slit is the must have item this spring.

Selena Gomez wore a Dolce & Gabbana cropped bustier top with a matching knee length skirt to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards last month.

AnnaLynne McCord wore a black short top, paired with a long ivory skirt that stopped below the knee when she stepped onto the red carpet recently.

Miley Cyrus wore this trend to the premiere of the Hunger Games opting for a black floor length Emilio Pucci look that also featured the sexy belly slit.

Miley recently said, “I’ll wear a two-piece any time I can.”

She went with the new two-piece dress style because, “the band on top [of the skirt] was big and gave a good waist, but it showed curves still. It was perfect.”

You can shop this similar look with this cropped ASOS crop top in white crochet. This short top goes for $50 and features a semi sheer, cotton crochet lace with scooped neckline and scalloped edge. Pair it with a high-waisted skirt and your on your way to the red carpet.
