Naomi is hoping to distract everyone from the whole Blackberry incident by expanding her resume. So far it reads: Angry supermodel.
Miss Campbell will design a 15-piece collection of jeans and T-shirts for Italian denim line Fiorucci.
Why lend her designs to a denim line when she can team up with an upscale line instead? Fiorucci was recently bought out by Ittierre, which also produces lines for Balmain.
"This agreement is important to accelerate the development of the company," said Antonio Bianchi, owner of Albisetti, which now controls Ittierre.
Naomi isn’t the only supermodel turned designer. Kate Moss very successfully teamed up Top Shop in the UK while Gisele Bundchen launched her own sandal line called Ipanema and lingerie line.
Both Gisele and Kate are the highest paid supermodels in the biz. In May Forbes named Gisele the highest paid supermodel in the world after she made $45 million in one year. Yes, one year. Kate Moss came in at number three (right behind Heidi Klum) with $13.5 million.
Naomi was missing from the top 5 list, but after this venture we may see her make a cameo on that infamous Forbes list next year.
