Former reality star and accessories designer extraordinaire, Nicole Richie is in talks to become the new face of Halston.

Halston is a brand that rose to prominence in the 70’s but in recent years has had some regime change-ups that had some wondering what would happen to the label.

After Halston hired former Versace designer Marco Zanini as creative chief, he was fired in 2009 and many unnamed designers were brought on to design for the company. Then Marios Schwab took over as head designer, and actress Sarah Jessica Parker was appointed as the president of Halston Heritage, their secondary line.

Even though Nicole Richie already has her House of Harlow accessories brand, her “Nicole” maternity range and her “Winter Kate” clothing line, she will be launching a collection with QVC so that her clothes will be available to the masses, and by that, I mean the sizes will go all the way up to size XXXL.

The QVC collection is yet unnamed but will launch in February to coincide with the premiere of the NBC reality show “Fashion Star” where Richie serves as a mentor to competing designers. So expect a lot of bizarre QVC name dropping during episodes of “Fashion Star,” because if there’s one thing NBC does right, it’s synergy.

A source close to Richie gives the details to Us Weekly about the new collection.

It's Halloween in Hollywood and the stars are pulling out all the stops with costumes this year. Even though Halloween is today, the older you get the longer you celebrate holidays that are traditionally created for children, so that's why the celebs and anyone over the age of 18 has been celebrating Halloween since last Monday.

Steven Tyler’s fashion is sort of all over the place, ranging from leopard print blouses to pirate shirts. Love it or hate it, he’s definitely interesting to look at. And Andrew Charles’ creative director, Andy Hilfiger, agrees. Which is why he chose Steven as the face of the new Andrew Charles sportswear line.

Tyler has been shooting ads for the campaign along with his daughter, Chelsea Tyler. “I love working with him,” Chelsea said about her Aerosmith dad. “It’s so relaxed and we have a lot of fun with it, and I really love so much of this line. I’m happy to be supporting it.”

The Andrew Charles men’s collection includes bold cotton shirts, denim, and a “Rock Scarf” collection. For women, there are jeans, embellished tops, skirts and tanks.

“I’ve been wearing this stuff forever,” Tyler says, presumably talking about both the men’s and women’s line. Hell, if they had a little girl’s line, he’d probably be stealing their leopard print leggings, too. “It’s just another side of it to think I’d be able to sell this and pass it on.”
