Nicole Richie is the Next Macy\'s Designer Collaboration
Nicole Richie is moving up in the world! Her name will now be mentioned alongside the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Alberta Ferretti and Giambattista Valli because this former reality queen is the newest designer to collaborate with Macys.

Women’s Wear Daily is reporting that she’ll launch a limited-edition capsule collection for the brand.

“Nicole is pretty savvy when it comes to the fashion business and understanding consumers. She’s a real fashion influencer,” says Martine Reardon, Macy’s chief marketing officer, “She’s got a very definitive look, very free style and bohemian chic, and our collection will definitely pay homage to her style.”

The 24-30 piece collection will be inspired by Nicole’s signature look. So boho chic, I’m guessing, and also hoping!

Or according to Richie, “This collection has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with faux leathers. [It’s for] the modern woman and her many different layers. Women are wearing so many different hats these days, not just working but creating.”

The collection will hit stores mid-September.

Just add this to the list of Nicole Richie’s many design endeavors. Not only does she have her accessory line House of Harlow 1960, her label Winter Kate, and the Nicole Richie Collection for QVC, but she can add Macy’s collaborator to her resume.
