The collection doesn’t hit stores until mid-September, but we’re finally getting a sneak peek at some of the design sketches.
In true-to-Nicole-Richie fashion, the images are flowy, loose, flowery and bohemian.
The first look is a printed maxi with flutter sleeves and covered in a green/blue floral pattern. The second look, which I NEED, is a long sleeved mini-dress that I can already see Taylor Swift or Emma Stone rocking. The last look in the just-released sketch are some skinny pants that appear to have a leopard print panel down the side with a geometric printed top.
Macy’s Inc. chief marketing officer Martine Reardon already announced earlier this summer that the collection would have a “very definitive look, very free style and [would] pay homage to [Richie’s] style.”
The capsule collection will feature price points less than Richie’s Winter Kate line, but as evidenced by this sketch, will have a similar style. The collection will carry 24-30 pieces.
According to Richie, “This collection has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with faux leathers. [It’s for] the modern woman and her many different layers. Women are wearing so many different hats these days, not just working but creating.”
Nicole can add this to her ever expanding resume which already includes an accessory line House of Harlow 1960, her label Winter Kate, and the Nicole Richie Collection for QVC.
