Nicole Scherzinger: I Used to Be Nerdy

While we wait for Nicole Scherzinger to heat things up on the US version of X Factor, you can see her sizzle on the cover of UK edition of InStyle.

The former Pussycat doll does a standing split for the mag and smolders in a white dress with plunging neckline.

Scherzinger wasn’t always sexy. “I was a geek in high school…I only got rid of my glasses when I joined the (Pussycat) Dolls.” I think its hilarious when beautiful women think all it takes to stop being a nerd is taking off their glasses.

At the time of the InStyle interview, Scherzinger was still attached to X-factor as a host, she actually got the phone call she was being promoted to judge in the middle of the interview. She didn’t know she was going to replace Cheryl Cole but she admits they are both very similar, “She’s lovely. We really relate – we both find it very hard to say ‘No’ to the contestants; we both go at it from the same place; we both give heartfelt and constructive criticism.”

She celebrated her recent birthday bash with her X-Factor co-judges and apparently Simon Cowell has a surprise for her. As Paula was leading guests in singing “Happy Birthday” Simon presented Scherzinger with a cake that had a picture of his own face on it.

Despite the cake joke, Scherzinger gushes about her job, “I am so excited. I woke up this morning and its my birthday, I have an amazing job working with three of the most wonderful people in the world that I have ever met…well two actually – and then there’s Simon too!”
