Project Runway's Nina Garcia: Crocs are NOT Okay
If Crocs aren’t okay, Crocs with socks are blasphemy.

Nina Garcia, the Marie Claire fashion director and Project Runway judge has confirmed what all of us have always thought: You don’t wear crocs.

“No one over the age of 10 should buy Crocs — unless you are Mario Batali,” Garcia said.

And I’m pretty sure she’s just letting him slide because she wants to get into Osteria Mozza.

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia wants the two potential first ladies to face off against each other. She says she wants Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama to guest judge an episode of Project Runway.

She describes Cindy's signature style as "Oscar de la Renta. She's all about bold colors and she's all about diamonds and pearls and blondeness."

And as for Michelle's look, Nina says she's "Miss Jackie O., 50s, early 60s."

And Nina's not leaving Sarah Palin out of the mix. She says the Vice Presidential candidate "shows a lot of promise, but first, we have to lose the glasses. Lasik or contacts. She's attractive. She seems to be feminine; I saw the high heels and little beaded skirt. She kind of broke up the suit which is a major move for a politician — and she's curvaceous."

Who do you think has the best style out of the three women? Cindy, Michelle, or Sarah?

Nina Garcia Moves To Marie Claire
Nina Garcia officially has a new job. She's moving from Elle Magazine to Marie Claire to become their new fashion director. Nina will replace Tracy Taylor at the mag.

Hopefully she stays on board Project Runway as well!
Nina Garcia For Birth Control
Nina Garcia doesn't have to worry about losing her job at Elle, because she's found a way to make ends meet as judge of a new contest. Nina has partnered up with Step Up Women's Network and Yaz birth control (the one with all the annoying commercials) to promote a contest for aspiring designers.

And we're not talking clothes for that time of the month here. The contestants will have to design birth control cases, and the most innovative wins $10,000 and a lifetime supply of Yaz.

What will they think of next?
Nina Garcia Leaves Elle Magazine

Word is that Nina Garcia has stepped down from her position as fashion director at Elle. Well, with her success on Project Runway and cameo offers on other TV shows, she probably doesn't have the time for a real job.

Rumors sprung when Nina was missing from an Elle-hosted event celebrating Simon Doonan's new book, Eccentric Glamor: Creating an Insanely More Fashionable You on Tuesday. Good for her! She's found a way to make a living both behind and in front of the camera.
