Oscar de la Renta to Design Children's Clothes
Red Carpet staple Oscar De La Renta will be launching an in-house Children's line for the first time in his 45-year career.

Because I was just thinking to myself that there aren't enough designer clothes for when babies have to walk down the red carpet.

Red carpet Interviewer: So, tell us who you are wearing this evening?
A famous toddler: I am this many years old **holds up 3 fingers**

I guess there is a need for children to wear designer gowns, because Oscar de la Renta has announced that he's adding kid sized luxury clothes to his fashion label.
Oscar de la Renta: Don't Go Wedding Dress Shopping With Your Mother
Oscar De La Renta was a special guest on the wedding episode of "The Martha Stewart Show" and while he's the king of designing wedding gowns, he is awful at giving advice.

When some girl in the audience asks the panel who she should invite on a gown-shopping trip, Oscar de la Renta immediately shouts, "Not with your mother."

The audience laughs, ha-ha-ha, Martha Stewart cocks her head back and does this heckle thing that I think she thinks is true laughter, but then Oscar, who isn't laughing, is so serious about it.

Then this Sharon Osbourne look-a-like woman, who apparently is Martha Stewart's editorial director, Darcy Miller, started in with how mean Oscar De La Renta was being.

Emma Watson really outdid herself for the London premiere of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2.

She just walked the red carpet at Trafalgar Square wearing a beautiful long Oscar de la Renta ballgown.

Emma is usually sporting cute short dresses, but she switched things up for the final film of the Harry Potter franchise.

Oscar de la Renta Takes Over the Red Carpet
These three ladies were at the top of the best dressed at the SAG awards yesterday and they had one thing in common...Oscar de la Renta!

Jennifer Lawrence, Tina Fey and Lea Michele were wearing gowns designed by Oscar de la Renta. How can you go wrong with Oscar?

Best and Worst Dressed at 2011 SAG Awards

When I saw the fuchsia dress on Jennifer Lawrence walking down the carpet at the SAG awards my jaw dropped at how radiant she looked! Although she didn’t win the Best Actress award, she won the best-dressed award in my book.

Tina Fey who’s not really known to be a fashionista looked great in red Oscar de la Renta. The dress did wonders for her body and the color looked great on her skin tone.

Although Lea Michele is not the nicest person on the red carpet, I gotta admit she looked great in the nude studded Oscar de la Renta. Now, if she can only be a little nicer!

What did you guys think of their dresses?
Best and Worst Dressed at 2011 SAG Awards
The 2011 SAG award winners were announced, but who won on the red carpet? Reds and Whites were big trends this evening, but not everyone made it on the good list. Check out the Best and Worst dressed ladies of the evening below...

Best Dressed:

Natalie Portman is a red carpet darling. Her growing belly looked radiant in this white Azzaro strapless gown that she paired with $2 million dollars worth of Tiffany's jewelry. She looked precious. Just like a goddess! It was the perfect dress to pick up her Best Actress award in.

Mila Kunis turned heads in her red/orange strapless Alexander McQueen dress. It was fun and flirty and so different from the green Vera Wang dress she wore to the Globes. The big change shows that she’s versatile and willing to take risks on the carpet.

Julianna Margulies was on fire both on the off the red carpet. She looked great in her red Yves Saint Laurent dress. Julianna picked up best actress in a TV drama tonight. Girl is on fire!

Other notable best dressed ladies: Jennifer Lawrence looked flawless in this pink Oscar de la Renta gown from the pre fall 2011 collection. The classic updo and simple jewelry really complimented the dress. Hillary Swank in a nude Versace chiffon one shouldered dress.

Red Carpet Trends:

Whites and nudes were a big trend on the carpet, along with reds/oranges and pinks. Lea Michele wore a studded Oscar de la Renta dress with Sergio Rossi shoes, Tiffany jewels and a Daniel Swarovski bag. She played it safe, and looked gracious.

Amy Adams looked fresh in Herve L. Leroux, Casadei shoes, Kimberly McDonald jewels and a VBH bag. The simplicity of the dress was very flattering when paired with her simple updo. It was a great change from the usual greens and blues we see Amy wearing.

Eva Longoria opted for a Hobeika nude gown with plunging neckline and drape accent. Eva always looks great on the carpet because she knows how to dress for her petite body. The plunging neckline gave her extra inches.

Worst Dressed:

Kim Kardashian has become a fashion icon, but this Marchesa dress wasn't doing anything for her. She looked like she's going to prom--not a major award show.

Did Winona Ryder not get the memo about the red carpet? She looks like a runaway bride in this puffy Alberta Ferretti dress. Fashion fail!

Helena Bonham Carter always plays by her own rules. She never follows fashion trends and unfortunately lands on every Bad Dressed list--including today. Sorry Helena, love you, but this Marc Jacobs dress is so unflattering.

Christina Hendricks forgot to get dressed for the SAG awards, she left her house in this robe. Wait, what? It's a dress?! Go figure. Why Christina opted for this L'Wren Scott robe gown is beyond me. It's horrible!

Other notable fashion disasters: Julien Bowen from Modern Family was wearing a black pants suit by Malandrino and Neil Lane jewels—she looked way too casual. She looked like she was going to a club—not a red carpet.

Oscar de la Renta Caters to All Women!
Oscar De La Renta is one of our favorite designers and we look forward to seeing his runway collection during fashion week because we know he always delivers.

Sarah Jessica Parker seems to agree. Parker was front row at the Oscar de la Renta show and she was very impressed.

"The show was absolutely, completely beautiful," Parker said after the show. "I would with great pleasure wear any of those dresses, particularly the evening ones—the pinks, the mint, the blacks."

The collection had day outfits for the classy lady and some amazing evening gowns that we would die to wear.
Eva Mendes: What Was She Thinking?
Eva Mendes usually looks so hot on the red carpet, but last night she really disappointed us at the premiere of 'The Other Guy' in NYC.

Eva was wearing a grayish toned Oscar De La Renta dress from his Resort 2011 collection. The dress is not that ugly, but were not digging the early 60's Mad Men look that's taking over the red carpet these days.

Some say the dress is 60's inspired, we say it looks like a mature woman trying to look like she is 12-years old.

The dress is not very form fitting, and it will actually make you look bigger than you actually are if you have that detachable poofy skirt attached to the dress.

Are we being too harsh on Eva Mendes and Oscar De La Renta? What do you guys think of the dress?
Oscar Does the Runway Right!
It’s hard to imagine that the typical Oscar De La Renta client is concerned with the recession. His gowns are thousands upon thousands of dollars, and the cache of owning one? Priceless.

Let’s just assume that the typical De La Renta woman is affected by today’s economic times. After seeing yesterday's new collection, we have a feeling it would be hard for her not to splurge anyway.

De La Renta's gorgeous clothes and unreal attention to detail sets him apart from all the other shows at the tents.

His Fall Collection was slightly darker with the palette leaning towards darker colors like maroon and gold.

De la Renta was one of the handful of designers who actually chose to show true evening wear and we are glad he did. A leopard showstopper purred down the runway, as did larger evening gowns that practically begged for their time to shine on the red carpet. Its no wonder this week is all about Oscar.
