Q&A With Chagoury Couture on Cannes Fashion and Summer Trends
Chagoury Couture is becoming the hot new go-to designer for tons of red carpet starlets like Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Milla Jovovich and most recently Paris Hilton, who was spotted in two different Chagoury Couture gowns at the Cannes Film Festival. We talked to Chagoury designer Gilbert A. Chagoury about his inspiration, Paris’s two dresses, trends from Cannes and trends for Summer.

Modamob: What are some trends we’re seeing from the Cannes Film Festival?
Chagoury: Sequins - Stars shimmer at Cannes in a whole host of haute designer sequins gowns. From gold to silver to ruby, sequins add summer sparkle to the international film festival. Celebrities like Jane Fonda, Diane Kruger and Kylie Minogue are huge fans of the trend.
2012 Cannes Film Festival Day 7 Fashion Wrap Up
The Cannes Film Festival continues to highlight the best and brightest in fashion. Diane Kruger has even more fabulous dresses. Paris Hilton is going neon and Karolina Kurkova looks like she walked straight off the runway.

Diane Kruger: Stepping out night after night, Kruger wore a white vintage Nina Riccie gown. The drop-waist gown was embroidered in feathers and a floaty chiffon skirt and featured a lavender corsage on the shoulder.

Hollyscoop caught up with Lia Sophia designer Dani Stahl at the launch of their new Industrielle II collection at the Sunset Marquis Holtel in LA this week.

Stahl has designed collections for the company in the past and talks up the company's celeb following, “This is my sixth or seventh showing now, here in LA. Two Frenemies, One Sass & Bide Dress

Kim Kardashian made her debut in the Hollywood scene thanks to ex-bff Paris Hilton.

She acted like Paris’ stylist and that career is clearly long gone. Kim has become one of the most popular girls in Hollywood and Kim and Paris no longer speak.

One thing they still do have in common is their love for Sass & Bide.
The History of the Kentucky Derby Hat

After all the hoopla of the Royal Wedding, we’re going to be looking for the next costumed-celeb event to grasp onto: enter the 2011 Kentucky Derby, which will take place May 7th.

And here’s a fun fact: did you know that the Kentucky Derby is actually a horse racing event and not a celebrity hat fashion show? Because I had no idea.

Celebs love the tradition and social flair of the Kentucky Derby, and we love seeing what outrageously overdone hat Kim Kardashian or Jenny McCarthy will be wearing.

The tradition of wearing hats to the Kentucky Derby dates as far back as the Royal Ascot races in the UK, which began in 1711. Started by Queen Anne, there was a strict dress code for the races, which included women wearing hats.
In the United States, patrons of the Kentucky Derby have adopted the hat tradition since 1875. And there aren’t many events in the U.S. in which wearing a lavish hat is appropriate, so we have to take advantage.

Let’s face it, most of us won’t be heading to the Kentucky Derby with Jessica Simpson and Brooke Shields. Hey, you can always round up your Chihuahuas, grab a Smirnoff Ice, and have a mini-race in the backyard.

It’s almost as classy. So in picking out your 2011 Kentucky Derby hats, here are a few Spring/Summer trends that will help you find the perfect fit:

Shimmer With shimmery trends popping up for summer, choose a hat with some glossy detail—like a sleek ribbon.

Lace Lace isn’t going anywhere this summer, but it’s evolving into a more antique-y, classic look—perfect for a traditional Kentucky Derby hat. Lace details would be a good choice, or go bold and choose a hat with a lace veil.

The exotic Think Natalie Portman’s deep purple dress and matching tassel earrings at this year’s Oscars. If you’re feeling a little more daring, go for a bold colored, exotic Kentucky Derby Hat. It doesn’t exactly scream Kentucky, but we can leave that to Loretta Lynn.

Fergie Launches Shoe Collection in Sexy Red Heels

Fergie is joining the ranks of Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton by launching her own line of shoes.

Last night, Fergie Ferg made an appearance at Macy's Herald Square to promote her new line.

She has also taken the Paris and Jess route and named her line after herself, Fergie Footwear.

Fergie wore a sexy black dress and matched it with some hot red shoes, which is from her collection. Imagine she wore another designer to promote her own label. That would be a dumb business move, but
clearly Fergie is smarter than that.

Fashion Week In Review
Whether celebs are on the red carpet or going to the grocery store they manage to dress to impress.

This week Eva, Paris and Amanda were busy promoting their new projects while Gwen impressed us with her restaurant style.

Let’s take a look at this week’s hottest ladies in fashion.

Who Rocked The Leopard Frock: Paris or Khloe?
It’s the battle of the reality stars!

Paris Hilton and Khloe Kardashian both own the same leopard-print Blumarine gown that they've worn just once. Both ladies changed it up to add a little more of their personality.

Paris wore the leopard print dress during a promotional trip to Spain. She spiced up her gown by wearing chunky jewelry and it looked great!

Khloe altered the dress a bit more for the Critics Choice Awards and I gotta admit I loved what she did! She hiked up the hemline in the front leaving the back with the long train. It looked super cute because she showed off legs, but still looked elegant.

The Blumarine gown is worth $3,255.00 but it no longer available at Neimans. Good thing it’s not available because I would jump at the chance to spend more than I make in a month to purchase a gown I will wear once.

Back to Paris and Khloe! I know the dress looks great on both ladies, but who really rocked the frock? Paris or Khloe?

Paris Hilton and Extension Company Straighten Things Out
Paris Hilton could go out and buy something nice for herself today because she just saved $35 million plus attorney fees.

The lawsuit HairTech International filed against Paris last August has been dropped.

HairTech filed the lawsuit because Paris reportedly cost the firm $6.6 million by going to jail in 2007 and she wore a competitor companies’ extensions.

"It is certainly not unusual for businesspeople to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products," a happy Paris said in a statement.

The company's head, Chris Volek also admitted, "The information I received from others and on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate."

Paris Hilton is queen of promoting the products she endorses so this lawsuit was sort of B.S.
