Prada Recruits A-Listers For Runway Show

Instead of parading around the actual red-carpet at this Sunday’s Golden Globes, all these dudes were stomping down Prada’s faux red carpet in a Hollywood meets fashion runway show.
Everything was designed by Miuccia Prada who says she hired actors because the idea for the show “started with the idea of characters,” and who better than to play a character than an actual actor. Who needs male models anymore!? What is even up with male models and their chiseled features, bone structure and perfect face symmetry, get rid of them and bring in the guys who can walk AND talk.
Adrien Brody paraded down the runway in a double-breasted red overcoat with a black velvet collar and fur-trimmed lapel with matching red round sunglasses.
The rest of the men wore a staple from Miuccia Prada’s winter 2013 collection, a long black overcoat with wire-rimmed sunglasses tucked into their breast pockets.
The collection was all very regal and stuffy, like those period piece movies where everyone is smoking cigarettes from a long stick and people have to lower their glasses to see anything and someone is named “Constable.” It was just like that. However, Miuccia says that’s what she meant for the collection to evoke, it’s “a parody of power” she says.
