Prada To Sell $4,000 Perfume Bottle
$4,000 is a lot of money to drop on any sort of cosmetic, but a Prada perfume that comes in a bottle that looks like it came from a novelty shop or a perfume publicity show? No thanks, guys.

Prada will be selling a 900 mL (that's over 30 ounces, or almost a liter...so, think of a large soda bottle full of perfume) bottle of their Candy perfume at Selfridges starting December 3rd for a limited time.

No word on how Selfridge's is planning on packaging these massive bottles--maybe a ribbon? A shoe box? I can see the headlines now: "Woman Breaks Prada Perfume Bottle, Neighborhood Reeks For Months."

The scent itself is a mix of white musk, caramel and benzoin, and while it comes at a premium price not everyone's happy with it.

The most common negative review on Sephora for the fragrance claims that it has no staying power and smells kind of cheap. While different scents work differently on everyone, that makes us wonder whether or not Prada is trying to make up for the fleetingness of Candy by putting it an economy sized bottle.

In any case, your money is probably better spent on a suite of La Prairie potions, or a lifetime supply of 200 vials of purse-sized scents.
