\"Project Runway\" Has a New Winner
Spoiler alert for the three people who still watch “Project Runway”: Dmitry Sholokhov is the winner of the fashion design competition’s latest cycle.

The 33-year-old beat out three competitors—the 29-year-old Fabio Costa, 31-year-old Melissa Fleis, and 24-year-old Christopher Palu—for the esteemed (??) title last night.

The finalists sent their final head-to-toe clothing designs down the runway of New York’s Lincoln Center and it all came down to an extra $300 worth of shopping at fabric staple Mood and two days of final “make it work” nip, tucks, and tweaks for the rivaling fashion hopefuls.

In the last critique it came down to the series old what was more wearable now (Dmitry) vs. what was more creative conceptually (Fabio). “It’s rich, honey,” guest judge Jennifer Hudson said of the former, while Heidi Klum gushed of the latter’s, “I, personally, loved it, loved it, loved it.”

Ultimately it was the former ballroom dancer and only Belarus-born male to never appear on “Dancing With the Stars” (presumably why he turned his efforts to fashion) Dmitry that sashayed away with the $100,000 from L’Oréal Paris to sink into his own label, a Marie Claire fashion spread, and a 2013 Lexus. Okay, so maybe the saturated title of being a “Project Runway” season ten winner that’s not even of the golden Bravo era is still worth it.

“This is the biggest day of my life…I’m beyond happy and proud,” Dmitry said, muttering the lines fed to him by the show’s producers, after Heidi told him, “You have your wings now, so go and fly.”
