Did you watch the Billboard Music Awards last night? Adele won everything, but who was winning on the red carpet? Did Miley’s plunging suit jacket do it for you? Or what about Carrie Underwood’s massive dress monster? Here's your fashion recap:

Taylor Swift: Is this a red carpet or an image from Elie Saab’s look-book? Taylor Swift looks divine in this fuchsia Elie Saab gown. The dress featured a lace strapless bodice paired with a billowing chiffon skirt. I’m so glad Taylor has graduated from sparkly white tea-length gowns.

Katy Perry: Katy Perry does that terrible thing of matching her hair color to her dress, it’s like guys who match their tennis shoes to their hats. Katy wore a lilac Blumarine gown with a sexy open back. The dress was covered in iridescent sequins and cascaded out into a lightly embellished chiffon skirt. I guess I like the purple hair/purple dress combination better than the blue hair?

Alicia Keys: Alicia Keys was all kinds of va-va-voom in this figure-hugging Azzedine Alaia Couture gown. This long-sleeved dress was svelte and flattering for any body type, but since the dress was relatively simple she paired it with a bright pink lip.

Miley Cyrus: Oh Miley…what can I even say about this plunging neckline suit jacket worn-as-dress ensemble? If she wants to escape her Disney image, it’s working. If she wants to be taken seriously, it’s not. She wore a Jean Paul Gaultier ivory double-breasted jacket as a mini dress, teased her hair up into a 60’s-esque bouffant, and paired it with some sexy (?) body jewelry. Oh well, she’s just being Miley…

Carrie Underwood: Carrie is so that girl that wore a wedding dress to prom. Carrie clearly made everyone else on the carpet look like an underachiever in this gigantic silver-and-rose tulle gown by Oscar de la Renta. However, I do think that a giant tulle gown might have been better suited at the Country Music Awards where people still have that “everything is bigger in Texas” attitude about everything.
