The who’s who of fashion and entertainment were in New York for the 2011 the MET Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year, the Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrated the life and work of Alexander McQueen.
Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Renee Zellweger, Salma Hayek and many more dazzled on the red carpet for the big event.
The hottest gowns that made the best-dressed list all happened to be in the nude family.
It’s safe to say that flesh tones are VERY hot this season.
Here’s a list of the hottest looks of the night!
Blake Lively- Blake is always taking fashion risks and that’s why we love her. Anyone else wearing this embroidered dress from Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2009/10 Haute Couture Collection would look fat and stumpy, but Blake looked fabulous. Her new hair color blended well with the gown.
Ashley Greene- Ashley’s strapless Donna Karan gown got heads turning on the red carpet. It was a beautiful dress and made Ashley look like the A-lister she wants to be.
Fergie- The embroidered Marchesa gown that Fergie wore was cute and different. She was rocking the Bohemian hair with a classy and elegant dress, which was different. She rocked the look very well!
Gwyneth Paltrow- Stunning! Words cannot describe how beautiful Paltrow looked in her Stella McCartney dress. The mother of 2 showed us her killer legs and amazing back with that frock. Gwyneth constantly proves that you that you can be a mother and maintain a banging body.
Sarah Jessica Parker- SJP wore Alexander McQueen to honor her late BFF. The dress looked amazing on her petite frame, but the hairstyle made her look a bit old.
Renee Zellweger- Bradley who? Renee showed up to the red carpet rocking a backless Caroline Herrera embroidered gown. The back was so backless that her butt crack was about to show. Renee has a sexy back so if anyone can rock that dress, it’s definitely her!
Kate Hudson- Mama to be attended the carpet sporting a big smile and her latest accessory…her engagement ring! Kate wore Stella McCartney with this weird headpiece that she could have done without.
Salma Hayek- The chairman of the Costume Institute Gala Benefit wore a nude Alexander McQueen gown to honor the late designer. The dress was simple and elegant, but when you are as sexy as Salma Hayek you don’t need a lot of work on the dress.
