Reese Witherspoon Cut Bangs to Hide Scar

There comes a time in every woman’s life where she decides whether or not to get bangs. "Should I get bangs?" - asks every woman to her friends over brunch at some point in her life.

Reese Witherspoon just debuted some new bangs and while they look great on her, she reveals during an interview with Graham Norton the real reason for getting the new hair-cut.

“I was jogging and I got hit by a car,” says Reese, “They said I am very hard-headed because I landed right on my head and I have a scar, hence my new hairdo. I don’t remember much about it but miraculously and thank God, I am fine.”

So Reese has a scar and had to get the bangs to cover it up. This is what I like to call a “Harry Potter” fashion situation.

Also, remember her accident? Back in September, an 85-year-old woman hit Reese with her car while Reese was out jogging. I remember this incident because after the run-in, Robert Pattinson sent Reese a glow-in-the-dark running outfit so she won’t get hit again. Isn’t that so sweet of him? Great guy, that Robert Pattinson. Anyways, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, car accidents and bangs.

Reese also reveals that she didn’t press charges to the driver but “they took away her license and gave her a bus pass,” says the actress.

Reese also talked about her meeting with the fashionable and royal Kate Middleton, when they met in Santa Barbara during Middleton’s North American tour.

“It was really fun,” says Witherspoon, “[Kate] was lovely and funny and she said some sweet girly things. I think she is handling herself so beautifully.”
