As Rihanna tackles her duties as the poster child for Armani, she debuts some very un-Rihanna new ads. She looks sexy, sure, but usually Rihanna is sexy in a scary way. Men want to sleep with her, but women fear she’ll steal their boyfriend.

Katy Perry has been quite the hair chameleon this year. Over the summer, she announced that she was doing away with her signature black locks and dying her hair a “secret color.” This announcement left us all speculating like crazy about what the new color would be. It was like we were trying to uncover the truth behind Area 51.

Now, after a stint with natural red, blonde, and then finally pink, Katy has changed her color yet again. At this point, her brain’s been exposed to more chemicals than Russell Brand’s!

Perry chopped off her long pink hair and had it styled into a plain but chic bob, and then decided to go back to her natural color—blonde. But she just couldn’t completely let go of the pink, as she’s left some of it in as highlights.

Someone said that women who change their hair color often is a sign of emotional insecurity. Using that logic, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga must be sociopaths (okay that’s probably true). Let’s just say that getting a new hair color can signify a change in your life and for Demi Lovato, she just died her hair red to signify her one-year anniversary of getting her life back on track.

Last November, Demi left her tour with the Jonas Brothers because of a nervous break down. She entered a treatment facility soon after and left rehab in January of this year. She seems to be doing great now and what better way to celebrate a fresh start with a new hair color.

Rihanna has been sporting a very natural looking brunette mane lately, after several years of having a fiery red hairstyle. She first debuted the brunette 'do at that weird Barbados float parade on August 1 of this year and because everyone was so weirded out that Rihanna was dressed like a cheap Vegas show-girl, nobody noticed that her red hair was gone.

So what's the deal Rihanna? Why do you change your hair as often as regular people change the lint catcher in their dryer?

"We are always changing it up, experimenting, and having fun with hair," her stylists Ursula Stephen reveals. Obviously, but while most popstars change their hair from blonde to blonder, Rihanna has had mohawks, pompadours, red hair, long brown hair, and blonde hair to name a few.

"Her hairstyle typically changes depending on what's on our agenda, what she's wearing, or how she's feeling," says Stephen. "We take it day by day and event by event."
