The Time 100 Gala threw its annual party last night in New York to celebrate its “100 Most Influential People in the World” list.

The annual Time list charts the world's most influential people, with categories such as: Artists & Entertainers, Leaders and Revolutionaries and Heroes & Icons.

Style Icons like Rihanna, Kristen Wiig, Claire Daines, and Tilda Swinton were honored at the fete, but let’s get down to the serious questions. What were they wearing?

Rihanna: Rihanna was pretty in pink in this Marchesa dress that she paired with Wilifredo Rosado Meridian earrings and ring. This strapless and girly pink dress was huge and pink and opposite of everything that Rihanna has been rocking lately. Where were the skintight denim shorts? Why no thigh-high boots? Rihanna was hardly recognizable, but she still looked lovely.

Tilda Swinton: Swinton uses every red carpet as an excuse to push the boundaries of fashion, and last night might be one for the record books, or at least for “The Fashion Police.” In her usual style, Swinton wore a pantsuit. This ivory suit by Celine features large billowing hips that tapered near the ankle and featured a middle pleat. The outfit isn’t for everyone, but Swinton can really pull off anything, so props to her for being always daring.

Claire Danes: Danes kept her look relatively low-key last night, settling for a knee length red leather Lanvin dress and paring it with Forevermark earrings. The dress was simple and demure, but since she’s being honored for being influential she probably could have gotten a little more daring.

Kristen Wiig: Kristen Wiig always struggles on the red carpet. She wore a Stella McCartney jumpsuit in black lace. It hugged her body well, but it was a little jumpsuit-y, do you know what I mean? The only thing she was missing was the parachute. Wiig paired the suit with a Fred Leighton ring, a Cartier bracelet, back strappy Gucci shoes and a Nancy Gonzalez clutch.
