The 2012 Grammys: The Best Dressed List
The red carpet arrivals to the 2012 Grammys are as exciting as the show itself. Will Lady Gaga top her “egg entrance” spectacle of last year? Will Beyonce make her first post-baby red carpet appearance? What is newly single Katy Perry going to wear? Is M.I.A going flash her middle finger? So many questions, many left unanswered, so let's just get to the fashion.

Here are the best-dressed music stars from the 54th annual Grammy awards.

Katy Perry: Katy Perry still has blue hair, and while it’s starting to look like bottom-of-the-fishtank blue, she paired her aqua hair with a soft pale blue Elie Saab gown covered in blue rhinestones. This is honestly her most grown-up red carpet look ever. She’s usually dressed like a smurf, or a 1950’s waitress, or an anime cartoon, so it was nice to see Katy looking so elegant.

Rihanna: No surprise here, Rihanna looks amazing. In a barely there black dress with an insane plunging neckline and revealing back, she met every expectation for her red carpet look. She’s been rocking blonde shaggy hair lately which kind of made her red carpet glamour less than, but still, Rihanna is red carpet royalty.

Adele: Adele is truly the woman of the night, not only is she nominated for like 100 Grammys, she’s the one performer that everyone is looking forward to hearing. Even with all her hype, the humble and subtle singer kept it lowkey in a three-quarter length sleeved custom shimmery black gown by Georgio Armani that was simple and elegant and the cinched waist flattered her figure perfectly.

Taylor Swift: I’m so glad T-Swift ditched the tea-length frocks. She wears those all the time and finally put on a gown, because duh this is the Grammys and not tea-and-crumpets with Kate Middleton. The young singer wore a gold and champagne detailed dress with a beautiful flowing train and intricate beaded detailing, the dress was a work of art. She better win something wearing that thing.

Carrie Underwood: Female country stars are truly dominating in fashion tonight. Underwood wore a long sleeved white gown by Gomez-Gracia’s with a tiny train that was bedazzled in tiny flecks of what looked like a shattered disco ball. She kept her hair pulled back and sleek so all the focus was on the dress which featured a sexy cut-out in the back.

Kelly Rowland: As I’m eyeing the red carpet waiting for Beyonce to arrive, I guess I’ll make do with Kelly Rowland. Kidding, Rowland stunned in a pale beige gown with a detailed silver floral pattern on the bodice.

Paris Hilton: Paris Hilton attended the Grammys (cuz she’s dating DJ Afro Jack) and looked really good. Remember when she wore pink all the time and was kind of tacky? She looked elegant, tall and beautiful in this white cap sleeved gown with gold detailing.

Miranda Lambert: Country Singer Miranda Lambert is a bit of a new face to the red carpet circuit, but she stunned in this champagne colored gown with intricate gold detailing. Lambert’s gown was like the simple version of T-Swifts gown.

Skylar Grey: In case you don’t know who Skylar Grey is, she’s that chick featured on “I Need A Doctor” and “Love The Way You Lie” with Eminem and the usually grungy and gothic chick got girled up for the Grammys. In a white lace long sleeved dress with red heels for a splash of color, her dress was a cross between the Royal Wedding Gown and vintage goth.

Kimberly Perry: Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry (they are a country band dummies) is what Taylor Swift will be when she is a grown up. Perry looked elegant in a black sheer and sequined gown. It wasn’t Beyonce stunning, but she looks ladylike and age appropriate poised against her band mates.
