It’s only a matter of time before a former Victoria’s Secret model decides to become a designer herself. Speaking of it, Miranda Kerr, what’s wrong with you? Why haven’t you designed a line of panty hose yet?
Anyways, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is going to design a 33-piece range of “vintage inspired” lingerie for British brand Marks & Spencer. Don’t let “vintage” fool you, it’s not like wooly cotton underwear, this 1920’s-inspired intimate range will feature luxurious silk lingerie, camisole and French knickers sets, a teddy and a kimono robe.
This isn’t Rosie’s first collaboration with M&S, she modeled for the brand alongside Ryan Reynolds in the campaign for “Autograph" last season.
“M&S is an iconic British brand, adored by many, so I’m very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them,” Rosie said in a statement.
Apparently, wearing lingerie is now the only prerequisite for designing it. Or as M&S puts is, “With all her modeling experience she has great eye for color and style which, coupled with our extensive knowledge in lingerie design and technique, is a winning formula that we can’t wait to share with our customers.”
Rosie calls the collection her “dream,” and aims to include art-deco-inspired detailing drawn from Twenties glamour in soft tones like pink and eggshell. As long as the bras aren’t pointy and the corsets aren’t made of bone, well, I guess it could be sexy.
The collection is being called “Rosie for Autograph” and will launch in September.
