This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit is celebrating the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition and the whole event is co-chaired by Carey Mulligan, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and designer Miuccia Prada
Here are the Best Dressed Stars from the 2012 Met Gala:
Camilla Belle: The young actress looked lovely in a Ralph Lauren Collection ivory tulle beaded dress with champagne python sandals. She looks like she was painted in gold flakes.
Scarlet Johansson: I wish Johansson had put more effort into her hair, but her Dolce & Gabbana dress is ah-mah-zing. This one-of-a-kind gown was made of a bustier embroidered with gold thread and pearls and a nude colored long tulle skirt.

She might be known as a sex symbol, but she assures us that she is just like us when it comes to worrying about her body. Thankfully for her, she gets awesome movie roles where she gets to work out and get her body in shape.
She said: Every woman has body worries, and I'm not exempt from that. But part of the by-product of spending that much time in the gym is that you can fit into a catsuit."
Last night Scarlett, who plays Black Widow in the Action/Adventure movie, attended the red carpet premiere in London sporting a PRADA silk and lace strapless dress.

Shakira has always had long wavy hair, but chopped it off near her shoulders in a cute A-line bob. She posted a picture of her hair on twitter with the message, "4 hours ago I got my hair cut!" - she's a very to-the-point kind of twitter user.
After she left the salon she headed straight for her Spanish soccer player boyfriend Gerard Pique's apartment.

Thankfully for Hudson, she was just photographed wearing an ugly wig. And by ugly I mean, totally sensible and probably would be complimented by a lot of middle aged ladies named Pam at a PTA meeting.
In Hollywood, celebrity ladies pop babies out of their tummy’s and then somehow get super skinny super fast because of these things called "pilates" and "weekend cleanses" and then like days after the baby is born, they go back to work.

Scarlett Johansson was all smiles on Saturday night as she attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C.
She was probably smiling because she is not longer hiding her relationship with her boyfriend Sean Penn. The two were spotted walking around holding hands.
Besides officially going public with her man, she also went public with her new hair color.
In the last year we’ve seen Scarlett as a blonde, brunette, long hair short hair and now she has turned into a red head.
Red is definitely the “it” color of the season as stars like Blake Lively, Drew Barrymore, Whitney Port, Mandy Moore have all reddened things up.
What do you guys think of Scarlett’s new do? Don’t get too used to it though, because chances are she will change it up once again in the next month.

Oscar fashion is very important and unfortunately the red carpet this year had one too many fashion atrocities.
There were definitely more than the six I picked, but these ladies were the worst in my opinion.
- Nicole Kidman- You would think Dior Couture would look a bit nicer than this, right? Nicole told Hollyscoop that her daughter Sunday Rose picked out her outfit, which was cute, but clearly a mistake.
- Marisa Tomei- Oh where to begin! The 1950 couture Charles James dress from Lily et Cie looked as if an amateur seamstress worked on the bottom part on to the dress last minute. And her dress wasn't the only thing that looked bad, her hair was pretty bad too. It was definitely an off-day for Marisa Tomei.
- Scarlett Johansson- It's a good thing Scarlett is beautiful because this Dolce & Gabanna dress was wrong, wrong, wrong. It looked as if her black underwear and bra were showing with in that dress. Her stylist should be fired immediately!
- Michelle Williams- That Chanel Haute Couture gown that Michelle wore on the carpet was not the best dress for her because it was not form fitting. She looked a bit too boyish and the dress was a bit too loose on her. She could have had someone taken it in a little more to show off her figure.
- Helena Bonham Carter- I have to admit, Helena toned it down a lot for the Oscars, but unfortunately still made it on the worst dressed list. She told Hollyscoop that she wore the dress because the bustle cover her big butt.
- Cate Blanchett- Cate looked as if she was on the set of one of the period pieces she’s always filming. The Givenchy Haute Couture gown was a big flop, but her hair and makeup looked great!

- The adorable and pregnant Natalie Portman, who arrived late to the red carpet wore a plum colored Rodarte gown for her big night. The dress will look fabulous as she goes on stage to accept her award for Best Actress.
- Scarlett Johansson is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood so it’s almost impossible for her to look bad on a red carpet, but the dress she wore to the Oscars was a big FAIL! She rocked a one-of-a-kind dress by Dolce & Gabbana and thankfully she is so beautiful that most people spend their time staring at her face rather than that hideous dress she was wearing.
- Penelope Cruz made her first public red carpet appearance after giving birth to her son Leo. A glowing Cruz wore a fiery-toned, sequined L'Wren Scott gown and showed the world that she’s already lost her baby weight.
