Selena Gomez Debuts New Purple and Blue Hair

Following in the footsteps of Lauren Conrad and Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez has dip-dyed the tips of her dark hair, bright blue and vibrant purple. So edgy!

Thank goodness Avril Lavigne paved a way for a new generation of nice girls who want to dye their hair crazy colors. Watch out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez is almost as edgy as you are!!

Selena tweeted a photo of her new hair and wrote, "Change is good...My girls @ninezeroone take care of me always :) LOVE"

Apparently Selena gets her hair did at 901 Salon, the salon created by former Ken Paves stylists Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri and according to them, she didn't dye her hair, but rather put in Great Lengths hair extensions.

Meanwhile her boyfriend Justin Bieber is getting permanent ink on his body, aka a tattoo of Jesus on his calf and ditched his faux hawk hair-do to get the Bieber hair swoop back again. I'm sure a lot of teenaged lesbians are going to be super upset that he stole their/his look back again.

Selena isn't going on tour, because she's been saying how she's taking some time off from music, so could her new hair be for a movie role? Could it possibly be for her edgy new role in the flick "Spring Breakers"?
