Footwear guru Christian Louboutin is launching a capsule collection of extraordinary new shoes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his label.
"In France, 20 years defines a generation," Louboutin said. "This is a celebration of the first generation of this brand; an anniversary of its first young adventure."
The collection is not yet available for purchase, but the Christian Louboutin Facebook page shows the full range of what you can expect. With 26 pieces, including 20 shoes and six bags, the collection is inspired by what Marie Claire magazine calls “a mixture of cabaret, travel and architecture,” all of which come together to form the iconic themes Christian’s design.

Christina Louboutin himself has finally explained why his heels are so uncomfortable. Ok, he hasn’t really explained why his shoes are uncomfortable in particular, but he’s explained why high heels are uncomfortable in general.
He explained to the Sunday Times newspaper: "There is an element of seduction in shoes that doesn't exist for men. Think about Marlene Dietrich crossing her legs - the whole attitude. The language starts with the shoe and radiates over the whole body. A woman can be sexy, charming, witty or shy with her shoes. Shoes for men are about elegance or wealth; they are not playing with the inner character.

If you, like me, buy your clothes at Target and have no idea what a beachmint or shoemint is...let me explain. Now, TOMS has taken it up a notch (Again!) and has unveiled a line of ballet-flats. So now all you women that have said that TOMS shoes were too boyish or didn't know how to wear them with dresses, you cannot say no to their new line of adorable ballet flats.
The flats are part of their Spring 2012 collection and the new styles include Leather & Suede, leopard prints, linen, and burlap. My favorites are sleek Moroccan inspired burlap, another that's a bright blue suede with light blue stitching, and another all-denim flat. Prices range from $74-129 and will be sold at the same retailers where their classic slip-ons are sold and also online.
